On February 13, 2025, just before 9:00 p.m., Missoula Police Officers responded to the 3600 block of Mullan Road following reports of gunfire in the area. Upon arrival, officers identified and arrested 50-year-old Jesse Sherouse for Criminal Endangerment after he fired two rounds into the air.
The Missoula County Attorney’s Office was consulted prior to the arrest, and a thorough investigation was conducted, including interviews with those involved. The Missoula Police Department’s Detective Division also responded to the scene.
It is important to remind the public that discharging a firearm within city limits is prohibited. Additionally, individuals are responsible for every round fired. Shooting into the air is extremely dangerous, as the trajectory of falling rounds is unpredictable and can result in serious injury or death.
