     ELDORADO, Texas (AP) _ Investigators in Texas say it was
accepted that young girls would have sex with older men at a
polygamist compound that was raided last week. The investigation
followed a teen‘s report that she‘d been beaten and raped by her
50-year-old husband.

     CAPITOL HILL (AP) _ Even the top military commander in Iraq says
he‘s frustrated with the situation there. General David Petraeus
was fielding lawmakers‘ complaints that the American people have
had enough of the war. Petraeus says there‘s progress, but since
it‘s so fragile he can‘t discuss additional troop withdrawals.

     SAN FRANCISCO (AP) _ Extra police are getting into place in San
Francisco as the city braces for massive protests with the Olympic
torch now in town. Wednesday‘s relay event is six miles long, but
the route might be changed for security reasons. Activists
worldwide have been disrupting Olympics events to protest China‘s
human rights record.

     MAHALLA EL-KOBRA, Egypt (AP) _ Egyptian leaders are trying to
ease tensions in a northern city after riots broke out over high
food costs. They‘re promising workers at a state-run textile plant
an extra month‘s pay. The United Nations is warning many
impoverished countries might see this type of violence.

     WASHINGTON (AP) _ April 15th is less than a week away, but
federal officials estimate tens of thousands of Americans don‘t
plan to file their taxes. So, the Justice Department is sending a
warning that it‘s going after tax scofflaws and companies that sell
tips on how to evade the IRS.
